Prescriptions
To elevate wait times in the afternoon we are only accepting repeat prescription requests from elderly patients, therefore please visit www.loddonvale.com to order your medication or speak to your local pharmacy.
How do I order my Repeat Prescription?
Repeat prescriptions are issued for either 1 or 2 months.
1 week prior to running out of tablets please request your medication via one of the following ways:
- Via your nominated pharmacies
- Complete a medication request form/repeat prescription slip in reception & pop this into the green letter box in the main reception area
- Request these via online access
- Complete prescription request via our website
Medication requested prior to the above date may be declined. Should you have any queries regarding your medication please do not hesitate to contact one of our receptionists.
Electronic Repeat Dispensing
Your prescriptions can be sent up for ‘Electronic Repeat Dispensing’.
This means that electronic batch issues of your prescription to your nominated pharmacy are set automatically every two months for up to a year.
Therefore you don’t need to order you medicines every month or 2 months. You can see an explanation of the service at www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/erd-information-patients.
This is ideal if you are stable on your medications and no changes are made from month to month.
Please let reception know that you would like your medicines to be set up for Repeat Dispensing or leave a message for the in house prescribing pharmacist to arrange.
This has been especially useful during covid19.
